Obituary : Augusta Wilhelmina Conrad

Mrs. Charles Thorp, 1213 Lake Street, passed away at her home at 8 o'clock Wednesday morning. She had been ill for the past 18 months. Her daughter, Mrs. Goulda Bower, had made her home with her since the death of Mrs. Thorp's husband about a year ago. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon from the Moon Chapel. Surviving besides Mrs. Bower are another daughter, Mrs. George Hagadone, and two sons, Floyd Stellpflue, Sumner, Washington, and Earl Stellpflue, Black Diamond, Washington.

Mrs. Charles Edward Thorpe

Augusta Wilhelmina Conrad was born at Galesville, Wisconsin, August 19, 1863, and departed this life at her home in Sandpoint, Idaho, July 30, 1947, having reached the good age of eighty-four years, nine months and eleven days. She was united in marriage to Mr. John Louis Stellpflue in September, 1883, and to this union four children were born. Mr. Stellpflue died August 11, 1901. In February, 1906, Mrs. Stellpflue was united in marriage to Mr. Charles Edward Thorpe, who passed away June 14, 1946. Mrs. Thorpe has been a member of the Sandpoint Methodist Church since 1926. She was a firm believer in God; her life was beautiful. Those who knew her enjoyed the radiant love and kindliness of her friendly spirit. During her long life she won the loving esteem of many friends. She is survived by her four children: two daughters; Mrs. George Hagadone, Sandpoint, and Mrs. Goulda Bower, Davenport, Washington; two sons, Floyd Stellpflue, Auburn, Washington, and Earl Stellpflue, Black Diamond, Washington; thirteen grandchildren, and twenty-four great grandchildren. She also leaves many friends in whose memories the influence of her good life will continue to live. 'For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.' (Second Corinthians 5:1)
