Death : George Robinson Hagadorn
George Hagadone Accidently Killed
George Hagadone was accidently killed today noon by his horses running away
with him. He had been mowing on the north side this afternoon and when he
went to dinner he had to cross the U.P.R.R. tracks at the crossing just west
of the depot. While crossing the tracks going south his horses got scared
and ran away with him. He was riding on the mower and could not hold the
team. The team and driver finally came to grief against a bank in a general
mixup and Mr. Hagadone was badly torn and mangled, being disembowled,
resulting in his death. Mr. Hagadone was one of the earliest settlers of
Dawson County and one of the oldest residents in this city, being more than
80 years of age.
