Matron Is Called
Mrs. Gertrude Stockman of Kootenai Dies After Long Illness
Mrs. Gertrude Stockman, 40, of Kootenai, passed away Friday morning at a local
hospital following a long illness. She is survived by her husband, Fred W.
Stockman; son, Harold; daughter, Helen; mother, Mrs. Annie Robinson, all
of Kootenai; two brothers, William Robinson of Cumberland, Wis., and Owney
Robinson of Iron Mountain, Wis.; three sister, Mrs. Gordon Cook, Cumberland,
Wis.; Mrs. Oswald Thrune, La Crosse, Wis., and Mrs. Frances Packer of
Spokane. Funeral services will be held at the Moon chapel Tuesday afternoon
at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. A. B. Sater of Spokane officiating. Interment
will be made in Pinecrest.
Kootenai Matron Called By Death
Mrs. Gertrude Stockman Passes At Local Hospital Friday, Following
Lingering Illness
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Moon chapel for Mrs.
Gertrude Stockman, 40, of Kootenai, who died Friday morning at a Sandpoint
hospital, following a lingering illness. She is survived by her widower,
Fred W. Stockman; one son, Harold; daughter, Helen; mother, Mrs. Anna
Robinson, all of Kootenai; two brothers, William Robinson, Cumberland, Wis.,
and Owney Robinson, Iron Mountain, Wis., and Mrs. Frances Packer, Spokane.
Rev. A. G. Sater of Spokane, officiated at the services and interment was
made in Pinecrest. Gertrude Robinson was born at Montfort, Wis., October
30, 1893, and passed away at the hospital in Sandpoint at 2:39 Friday
morning, December 22, 1933. She was married to Fred W. Stockman in 1917, at
St. Paul, Minn. To this union were born one son, Harold, and one daughter,
Helen, who are left with the husband to mourn her loss. Her mother, Mrs.
Anna Robinson, was here at the time of her death. Mrs. Stockman had been a
resident of Kootenai for the past 10 years and will be missed by a large
circle of friends.
